# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • It takes less time than waiting for delivery and tastes like you actually tried.
  • The combination of cold avocado and melted cheese creates a temperature contrast that somehow works perfectly.
  • You probably already have everything you need sitting in your kitchen right now.
  • It feels fancy enough to serve guests but easy enough to make when youre half asleep.
02 -
  • Do not walk away while broiling, it goes from perfect to burnt in about thirty seconds.
  • If your avocado is too firm, it wont mash smoothly and will taste bland, wait another day or microwave it for ten seconds to soften it slightly.
  • Pat the mozzarella slices dry with a paper towel before adding them or they will release too much water and make everything soggy.
03 -
  • Keep a close eye on the broiler, mozzarella goes from melted to burnt faster than you expect.
  • Use day-old bread if you have it, it toasts up crispier and will not get soggy as quickly.
  • If you do not have fresh mozzarella, torn burrata works beautifully and makes it feel even more indulgent.
